Our Workshop

Our Manufacturing and Fabrication Facility

AEML’s 2,000 m² fabrication and assembly shop is located on five acres in St-Antoine New Brunswick, Canada. The facility has been designed and laid out specifically for structural fabrication, piping fabrication and package assembly.

The shop includes a dedicated state-of-the-art sandblasting and paint building to ensure the highest quality finished product. Our 275 m² warehouse utilizes a barcode tracking system to maintain precise and accurate material traceability. Our 275 m² office space is appropriately located adjacent to the warehouse / fabrication section of the facility and ensures direct and immediate communication between the workshop / warehouse / quality control departments and the procurement / engineering / drafting departments.

AEML employs full-time Project and Production Management, Estimating, Drafting, Procurement, Quality Control and Warehouse personnel onsite. A core group of 15 highly skilled trades-people is maintained for the base shop loading. As shop loading increases, AEML draws from the local labor pool to ensure delivery timelines are met. At capacity, AEML is able to manage up to 40 trades-people achieving in excess of 100,000 production-hours per year.

The facility has been arranged in accordance with lean manufacturing ideals and assigned designated areas for fabrication, hydrotesting, assembly, blasting, painting and loadout. The assembly area is outfitted with three 10-tonne overhead cranes with 6.5m under-hook heights, making it ideal for module assembly and loading. The piping fabrication area is outfitted with two 2-tonne overhead cranes with a 4m under hook height. A single 5-tonne overhead crane services the structural steel fabrication area. The loadout area is services by three 10-tonne overhead cranes along a 12m gantry.

AEML subcontracts fabrication of ASME Section VIII Pressure Vessels and TEMA ‘C’ & ‘R” Heat Exchangers to strategically allied partners. All pressure vessels are supplied with ASME U‐ Stamps. National Board Registration, Canadian Registration Numbers and CE Markings, in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive, are also available options for all pressure vessels, heat exchangers and piping systems.

Through AML’s global network, we are able to manufacture oversized equipment in the destination country and ship direct to site thereby reducing lead time as well as lowering overall cost through reduction of transport costs.
